Y&DMH is committed to enhancing the health status of the community it serves through the achievement of clinical excellence and the provision of high quality health services.


Y&DMH has a broad community reach servicing a population of approximately 6,892 from the communities of Yea, Glenburn, Kinglake, Flowerdale and surrounds.


A Health Service for the Community
Yea & District Memorial Hospital (Y&DMH) comprises four key areas, Acute, Residential Aged Care, District Nursing and Community Health.


Acute care & Residential Aged Care
The Acute area has 10 beds. Rosebank Nursing Home and Rosebank Hostel provide the residential aged care service. The nursing home has 10 residents and the hostel 15 residents.


Community Health

Y&DMH also has responsibility for the provision of community health services to the west side of the Murrindindi Shire. Housed in The Grace Bennetts Centre, Yea Community Health has a range of services available including a diabetes educator, dietitian and a psychologist.

In addition Yea Community Health funds two specific services, paediatric speech pathology and counselling, for Kinglake

Visiting Service Providers
The hospital also provides rooms for the provision of private services in podiatry, audiology, physiotherapy, pathology collection, optometry, echocardiography and psychology.

Clinical plan aims to strengthen hospital’s “Health Hub” role

Yea and District Memorial Hospital Board today announced that, following
consultation with the community, its Clinical Services Plan was now complete and
reflected the wish of the community to have more health services delivered locally.
The Plan is now being used by the Board to inform a major update of the Hospital’s
Strategic Plan expected to be available for consultation in the first part of 2019.
