COVID EXPOSURE YEA MEDICAL CLINIC Saturday 25th September
To our community,
As you may be aware Yea Medical Clinic has recently been subject to an exposure of a positive Covid case.
The case presented to the clinic on Saturday 25th September with the period of interest being between 2:15 pm and 3:30 pm.
All clients that attended the clinic between those hours are encouraged to present for a screening swab at the YDMH screening clinic.
The YDMH Covid testing screening clinic is operational and appointments can be booked by calling 0428 618 994. The clinic is located at the front entrance of the hospital .
The medical clinic has undergone a deep clean and will again be open from 1 PM on the 28th September.
All staff working within the clinic were wearing full PPE as required of their role and have since returned negative surveillance swabs.
The hospitals Acute, Aged Care and Urgent care remain open as previous.
This highlights the importance of being vigilant within our community and ensuring a high level of vaccination is attained.
While we undertake a clean of our facility we have deferred vaccinations scheduled for the 28th September and will be contacting those booked in for a vaccination on that day and rescheduling for Monday 4th October
We thank our staff for their high level of awareness and prompt response in containing this situation and returning our medical clinic and hospital back to business as usual.
