As a key member of YDMH’s executive team, the Director of Clinical Services (DCS) role is central to the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our community and the achievement of key strategic and operational objectives. The DCS position holds accountability for clinical leadership and proactive engagement of the clinical staff on behalf of the Hospital. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working alongside the General Manager Support Services and the Director of Performance Improvement, the position is critical to the promotion of an organisational culture of clinical excellence, service quality and patient safety.
To be considered for this role, you will hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and have a Postgraduate qualification in health, business or management. You will have extensive experience in a senior management position in healthcare with demonstrated success in nursing leadership; as well as proven ability to align teams with the organisational values and goals through effective people management and modelling.
