The YDMH Saleyards Program welcomed a warm and sunny day, creating the perfect backdrop for community connection and support. This week’s visit featured special guests Jacinta and Suzie from Dementia Australia, who brought the Bran Hub to the yards. Their presence drew strong interest from local farmers keen to learn more about dementia, early signs to look for and the wide range of support services available for families and carers.
The free Brain Hub offered approachable, practical guidance, creating opportunities for conversations that might otherwise be difficult to start. Many community members appreciated the chance to ask questions, gather resources, and better understand how dementia can impact rural families.
The collaboration between YDMH and Dementia Australia continues to strengthen health awareness in the region, ensuring farmers and their families feel supported, informed and connected to professional help when they need it most.
