This International Restart a Heart Day, Monday 16 October, Yea & District Memorial Hospital are offering free Basic Life Support Training and Cardiac Risk Assessment’s to all interested community members.
The details of the day are as follows:

Basic Life Support Training will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. It is two-on-one with YDMH’s Education & Training Coordinator, so make sure you bring a friend or family member with you to get the most out of the experience. The training will cover Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation in cardiac arrest.
Cardiac Risk Assessment’s will be one-on-one with YDMH’s Community Cardiac Nurse. Each assessment will take approximately 15 minutes and include a cholesterol check, blood pressure check, and Cardiovascular Disease risk calculator.
