Skin Checks at the Saleyards
It was a busy day for the YDMH Community Health team at the Yea Saleyards today bringing healthcare to our farming community.
Providing free skin checks today, the wonderful Drs from Southern Skin Cancer Clinic completed 61 examinations.
Yea & District Memorial Hospital’s Nurses conducted health checks including blood pressure and cholesterol tests on site.
With two nursing students completing their placements with us, attending the saleyards certainty is different to most standard nursing placements.
Today would not have been possible without the support of Murrindindi Shire Council the Flood Recovery projects and the Yea Saleyards Committee.
This is a partnership initiative between the Yea & District Memorial Hospital , the Murrindindi Shire Council Flood Recovery Project and the Yea Saleyards Committee of Management. This event has been made possible through the contribution of both agencies and funding jointly provided by the State Government of Victoria and the Australian Government under the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
