Elizabeth Sinclair appointed as YDMH CEO
I am delighted to announce that the Board of Yea and District Memorial Hospital has appointed Elizabeth (‘Miffi’) Sinclair as the Hospital’s CEO.
Elizabeth Sinclair brings to this role an impressive breadth of professional expertise and personal understanding of our local community.
Elizabeth is currently Director, Clinical Services at Mansfield District Hospital, a role she was appointed to in September 2020. At Mansfield Elizabeth has gained hands-on experience with all the challenges rural health services and their communities are facing in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to that Elizabeth spent more than a decade based in Melbourne. Over that time she undertook a range of high level clinical project and policy roles within Eastern Health, Ambulance Victoria and the Department of Health and Human Services. Earlier in her career Elizabeth held senior roles at Alexandra and District Health and Darlingford Upper Goulburn Nursing Home and Murrindindi Community Health Service.
Elizabeth has substantial leadership experience having served as CEO of Darlingford and Murrindindi Community Health and at times acted as CEO at Mansfield and Alexandra health services.
Elizabeth has academic qualifications in nursing, a Graduate Diploma in Education and Training and a Certificate in Critical Care from the Alfred Hospital. She has completed a Master of Business Administration from University of South Australia.
Adding to this professional experience and educational background, Elizabeth comes into the role at YDMH with strong personal and family connections with both the Yea community and YDMH. Elizabeth and her husband Michael live in Alexandra where they run a beef cattle enterprise at Molesworth and Alexandra. They sell their calves at the Yea cattle sales. Elizabeth’s parents are well known Yea identities with mother Clare Sinclair a longstanding and much respected former member of the YDMH clinical staff and father John Sinclair a stalwart of Yea Rotary.
Elizabeth will take up the role of CEO on Monday 3 October.
