Yea & District Memorial Hospital is a small rural health service comprising 10 acute beds, 4 bay Urgent care centre, Aged Care facility with a 10 bed nursing home and 15 bed Hostel (with ageing in place). We also deliver community health services to our community with community engagement and involvement a key strategic focus in the current plan.

 

Medical Staff

Please note that our Hospital does not employ medical staff and relies solely on the use of Visiting Medical Officers from our local practices

Leisure & Lifestyle Activities Coordinator – 24 hours per week

We are currently seeking the following position to join our Aged Care Services team:

  • Leisure & Lifestyle Activities Coordinator – 24 hours per week

This position is responsible for actively facilitating and coordinating our activities program within the aged care services with our residents ensuring a range of choices and experiences are available to maximise both enjoyment and independence maintenance. The position also supports the Volunteers for the facility.

Gardener and Handyperson – Part-Time

We are currently seeking the following positions to join our team:

Both positions are required to keep the hospital, community services, nursing home and hostel service areas functioning through the maintenance of equipment used within the associated service areas, and oversee the quality of work of any external contractors alongside maintenance of the organisation grounds.

Registered Nurse

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our team – full and part time hours available.
To be eligible we ask that you have:
  • Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and have unlimited work entitlements
  • Recent experience in Aged Care and Acute Care settings
  • Ability to work a 24/7 roster, including AM, PM and Night Duty shifts
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent clinical problem-solving skills
  • A person-centered/focused approach to care delivery
  • Alignment to YDMH Values – Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Impartiality & Responsiveness
  • Current, satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check & NDIS Worker Screening Check
