YDMH Celebrated NAIDOC Week with the raising of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Flags outside the main hospital for the first time in the organisation’s history.
Ian Marshman YDMH Board Chair commented it was a special day for the organization to show full commitment to supporting our first nations community members. Louise Sharkey Interim CEO/Executive Director of Community Operations gave an overview of each flag’s meaning before each flag was raised.
A small gathering of staff members witnessed the event which was organised by Hailey Docking Health Promotion Coordinator.
